Every two years the Raging Grannies gather together for their Unconvention. This year five of Rochester's Raging Grannies joined 80 grannies from across Canada and the US and even a granny from England and Australia in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada from May 28 through 30. Unlike Rochester, where it seems like the press leaves before they hear us rage, our rage on Parliament Hill was covered by the local television stations and the Ottawa Sun newspaper. Our next Unconvention will take place in Windsor, ON, Canada, right across the bridge from Detroit. The Raging Grannies Without Borders will host that event in 2006. |
